Shale Resource Evaluations have become one of out top core competencies over the recent years. The INEXS® evaluation includes:
Complete regional geological study based on the correlation of regional deep well logs. Capture top, base, and isopach values, and identify top and bottom seal, stratigraphic variations, and stratigraphic sub-units
Generate a full lab analysis including
geochemistry, organic petrology, rock mechanics, lithology, thermal maturity (VR), organic richness (TOC), kerogen type, geomechanics, and brittleness
Integrate all geological, geomechanical and lab data. Generate regional geologic maps
including depth structure, isopach, isochore and gas in place
maps
Integrate a grid of 3D seismic data and available reprocessed 2D seismic data, connecting as many recent wells as possible
Reprocessing of the 2D seismic data would improve higher frequencies, reduce noise, and create better gathers for pre-stack analysis. Next generate a series of seismic derivative attributes including AVO, seismic inversion, Poisson's ratio, Young's modulus, lambda rho, mu rho, etc.
Create regional permitting, drilling, and completion activity maps including posting all key wells used for lab analysis
Create detailed database of practical IP (30-day average), cumulative production, and any available information on perfs, frac stages, etc.
Generate a series of cross-correlation attributes - some examples would include TOC vs. isopach, or VR vs. depth, practical IP vs. Poisson's ratio, Young's modulus vs cumulative production
The project will be delivered in digital format for further analysis by the client in formats compatible with Landmark, SMT, SeisWare, Petra, and Transform
Activity updates will be offered every six months to integrate newly released wells, updated production information, and possibly integrate additional 2D seismic data
